“You do the difficult thing now to preserve for the future freedom and prosperity that is America,” he said. “Do the hard thing now. It’s never going to get easier.”
Businesses leaders particularly need to become part of the discussion and put pressure on Congress.
“The business community really has to engage on this,” he said. “We have to make sure they care. We need to err on the side of beginning now. Unfortunately, we’re a long way from a broad public understanding of the scope of the problem.”
